Malmedy lies at the foot of the High Fens, in the Warche valley. The 'floral town' charms visitors with its diversity and wealth of attractive activities.
There are several car parks in the town centre, for example near the cathedral or on the Place Albert Ier.

The historic town centre has some slopes and cobbled pavements, though many paths and squares are flat. Good connections to the RAVeL routes towards Waimes and Stavelot.
The High Fens House for Tourism – East Belgium holds the Access-i certification and is adapted for visitors with reduced mobility. The accessible entrance with ramp is located on the side of the building. The Malmundarium and its exhibitions are also fully accessible.
Malmedy can be reached by public transport via the following routes:
- Take the train to Verviers, then change onto bus E21 or 395 towards Malmedy or St. Vith
- Take the train to Trois-Ponts, then change onto bus 745 towards Waimes (via Malmedy)
Some villages in the municipality are served by bus routes, though not all of them. It is therefore advisable to check your journey in advance on letec.be.
