Tall hedges surround the houses here to protect against the harsh climate. After the biting wind on the plateau, it is comfortable by the banks of the Warche and Bayehon. On the climb from the valley floor, the crystal-clear river water stands out even more against the green.
After the bridge, we come across Reinhardstein Castle in the seclusion of the forest. On the other side, the climb to the hill ridge requires full concentration, as the path is steep and slippery. Once reached, the view of the gentle meanders of the Warche in the valley compensates. Between rugged rocks and torrents, we reach the valley basin. Now meadows and pastures line the path. They announce the proximity of the river.
It almost feels like a mountain hike. It goes steeply downhill before we pass the mill campsite and thus the gateway to the Warche valley. The last valley slope follows the course of the Coreu stream and crowns this hill and valley hike.
