The range includes challenging hikes along rivers and through hills in the conservation area of the High Fens, a moor landscape which is unique in Europe. The Our valley and the country around St.Vith offer wonderful panoramas and views. The image of the country around Eupen and that of the Göhl valley in the north feature a slightly hilly landscape.

The Hertogenwald near Eupen is one of the largest and most beautiful woodland areas in Belgium; the perfect entry into the conservation area of the High Fens.

 

 


The honeycomb network of hiking trails extends to cover a length of 1,370 km and is signposted throughout. There's an on-line tour planner with an app available for planning a hike. This way, walking tours can be out together quite easily and done later off line. The network of long-distance hiking trails 'sentiers de grande randonnée' (GR) on challenging paths, some of which are ancient, offers a particularly large number of amenities for a relaxed walking holiday.

Accommodation is available in all areas and to suit everyone's expectations. The region is known for its great hospitality and the high quality of its catering. Yet there's no reason why planning the trip should take up a lot of time – the hiking tour amenities make that decision really easy. The network of GR long-distance hiking trails

Cross the most beautiful regions with their impressive lookout points

GR long-distance hiking trails ('sentiers de grande randonnée') in Belgium are long-distance hiking trails that connect up the whole region between the Eifel, the Ardennes and the High Fens. Unlike hikes on circular trails, these tours take you over longer distances and last several days. There is a particularly dense network of GR hiking trails in East Belgium, which are marked with red-and-white signs.
