Just behind Malmedy, the route starts with a steep climb near Falize (along the Rocher de Falize) and Cligneval. After a short descent, the village of Bellevaux-Ligneuville is reached. From there, the bike route steadily climbs over several kilometers. Beyond Recht, the road rises again towards Poteau, where shortly before Rodt the highest point (556 m) is reached. Via small roads, it goes through the municipality of Burg Reuland to Maldingen and from there towards the Luxembourg border. From there, the route profile descends along the Salm to Trois-Ponts. Over the today unused, old race track of Francorchamps, the path leads back to Malmedy.
