Much more than a museum: the tourist heart of Malmedy
The spaces dedicated to history, art and culture are well worth a visit. The beauty of the magnificently restored listed building rivals the attractions themselves, which are spread across the cloister and the attic floors (accessible by lift). The museum trail, enriched with audio guides, audiovisual stations and films, takes you through the leather workshop, the paper workshop (with vat papermaking on request) and the workshop dedicated to the Malmedy carnival, the Cwarmê. Visitors can also see the cathedral treasury and the Historium, which offers a journey through almost fourteen centuries of history.
Temporary exhibitions
Throughout the year, the "MonArt" gallery presents temporary exhibitions, offering visitors a diversity of themes and artistic worlds.
Activities, events and guided tours
Multilingual guides are available for groups wanting guided tours, while a varied programme of educational activities allows schools to explore the different themes developed within the Malmundarium in a fun, interactive way.
