    After the Normandy landings in 1944, the Second World War seemed to be drawing to an end – but on December 16, 1944, the Battle of the Ardennes began, bringing death and destruction to eastern Belgium, including Malmedy. The Battle Tour guides you through the city centre along 22 photo panels that illustrate the dramatic events of the winter of 1944/45 and the fate of both civilian and military victims. This route brings history to life and raises awareness of the dangers of extremist and totalitarian regimes.
