Eupen is the capital of the German-speaking Community of Belgium and is ideally situated between Maastricht, Aachen and the High Fens.

Many kerbs in the town centre have been lowered. For outings into the countryside, the Vennbahn and Ravel routes (surfaced and largely flat) are well suited. Eupen railway station is accessible for passengers with reduced mobility, including adapted toilets and accessible parking spaces.
Eupen is connected to the Belgian rail network and can be reached via Brussels, Liège and Welkenraedt, among others.
