From the village, a country path surrounded by hedges and beeches leads us into a dreamy meadow landscape. Here and there are benches to enjoy nature for a moment. We are on the old footpath leading to the former "Robertville train station." No train arrives there today; instead, cyclists and pedestrians travel here on the Vennbahn, the well-known rail trail.
A little further, the path winds down into the Warche valley and reaches the river. The beaver has made a home here. Sometimes the river is rushing, sometimes it gently babbles. Along footbridges and narrow paths, it goes downstream along the Warche. Then we reach the lake and follow the path on the left shore. Anglers sit here quietly, patiently waiting for a good catch. Back in Robertville, you look back on a varied and relaxing hike.
