Brochure – hiking tours

So far, the organised walks have been put together in a handy brochure, but the new folding map offers lots of other amenities too. With the new format and the map, you can get a precise overview of the individual stages of the tour and the whole range of amenities throughout East Belgium quickly and easily.

Cycling and MTB with no baggage

More and more cyclists are discovering the little jewel that is East Belgium with its idyllic routes in harmony with nature, where they can pursue their favourite hobby in an oasis of tranquillity and free from the hurly-burly, either over the weekend or on a proper holiday. En route there are lots of little natural paradises and cultural treasures to be discovered, and thanks to the good signposting keeping your bearings is just child's play.

VeloTour network of leisurely cycle paths

The network of leisurely cycle paths is signposted according to a honeycomb system. This ingenious system makes it possible to plan lots of tours at will, whether they're short family excursions, athletic one-day tours or even multi-stage tours lasting several days. Sometimes the landscape is flat, sometimes slightly hilly, and then and again somewhat tougher.

Cycling along railway lines

Cycle paths on former railway lines and towpaths are very popular, and that's particularly true of hilly regions such as East Belgium. Where you might expect ups and downs that can only be overcome with a great deal of effort, disused railway lines, converted into cycle paths, take you through tunnels beneath steep hillsides and on viaducts across valleys. Furthermore, these cycle paths are well away from road traffic and take you without any gradients worth mentioning (+/- 3%) right through the middle of nature, past many attractions and café terraces which invite you to stop and take a break.
