3RIDES Gravel Ostbelgien: a new date on the gravel calendar
The gravel scene is gaining an exciting new highlight in the heart of Europe. From 4 to 6 September 2026, 3RIDES Gravel East Belgium will make its debut in Eupen, marking the event’s first edition in Belgium. The organisers are introducing an innovative stage-race format alongside cross-border adventure rides.
Throughout the event weekend, competitive riders can tackle three stages, which can either be booked individually or combined for an overall classification. Gravel enthusiasts, meanwhile, can enjoy rides of 100, 150 and 200 kilometres, exploring the unspoilt landscapes of the High Fens and the Eifel without the pressure of racing.
The standout experience is the 200-kilometre ride, a true three-country adventure passing through Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany.
Among cyclists, East Belgium is widely regarded as a hidden gem, offering remarkable landscape diversity. The region’s centrepiece – and the main topographical challenge of 3RIDES – is the High Fens, one of the last remaining raised bog landscapes in Europe. The routes guide cyclists through the vast Hertogenwald forest, along the scenic Hill river, and up to notable landmarks such as the High Fens near Baraque Michel.
The start and finish at the Vesdre dam near Eupen highlight the region’s unique character as a landscape shaped by water and nature.
Registration for 3RIDES Gravel Ostbelgien is now open. Riders who sign up before the end of April can benefit from an early-bird discount of almost 20%.
