Description
The Knoppenburg is a fortified farm in the former hamlet of Neudorf, surrounded by meadows. It was built in the 16th century and at first known as 'the farm on the heath'. About 100 years later, two onion domes were added, and from then on it was known as the Knoppenburg, knop meaning 'bud' in the Raeren dialect.
