Starting from the marketplace in Bütgenbach, the route leads directly down to the peaceful Bütgenbach Lake. In the Liebesallee, you can enjoy wonderful views of the lake. Then it goes a bit over the Ravel before you enter the forest on the left. At the Wirtzfelder Bridge, the route continues over some trails through the Plättscheider Forest with alternating ascents and descents. Partly, we are on sections of the Trim Your Path trail here and can include the stations as desired. Afterwards, it goes back parallel to the Ravel to Bütgenbach.
The green route is ideal for beginners and offers running treats for less experienced runners.
On weekends, it is better to run this route early in the morning or late in the evening. Then it is least busy.
