It starts at the village square in Schönberg. From there, the route leads into Alten Herresbacher Weg and steeply uphill towards Herresbach. At the top, you are rewarded with a wide view of the upper Ourtal for your effort. From here you ride on trails of the Stoneman Arduenna until shortly before Schlierbach. The single trails alternate between deciduous and coniferous forest and wide forest roads. On this section, you will encounter tricky climbs; they are sometimes steeper and longer than they initially appear. On the descents, you can expect fast forest roads or tricky, technical trails. In the village of Setz, you cross to the other side of the Ourtal. An uphill trail leads you to a hill where the landscape opens up and you reach the village of Amelscheid. Enjoy the last view of the Ourtal before heading down to the village square in Schönberg. After this route, you have well earned a rest on the terrace.
