The path first leads into the so-called ‘Brackvenn’ with its typical lithals. If you look closely, you can see the tracks of a beaver that has made one of these ‘pools’ its home. In addition to the typical moorland landscape, the path is lined with heathland, birch and eared willows and alternates between wooden walkways and nature paths. After the crossroads, you reach a large expanse of water, one of the many renaturalisation measures carried out in recent decades. Various water birds can be observed here. You reach the Grenzweg parking via the forest path.

Author’s recommendation
Cross the road at junction node 44 and you'll come to the Nahtsief area. This low moor differs from the ‘Brackvenn’ in many ways, and also offers superb views for walkers.
