The start is in the holiday resort Schönberg. From there, it goes along the Our towards Amelscheid. Before the path leads uphill, it continues to the right along the Our towards the Klein Bohlscheid forest area. Once in the forest, the route remains relatively flat. At about the height of Atzerath, the path climbs steeply over the forest trail (short climbs of 20% and 15%) and later descends steeply again with a small S-curve down into the Our valley.
Just behind the village of Setz, the cycle path meets the Our valley route again towards Steinebrück. From now on, the path follows the lightly trafficked country road along the border river Our between Setz and Steinebrück with the idyllic villages of Rödgen, Alfersteg, and Weppeler. Shortly before Steinebrück, the road meets the connection to the Eifel-Ardennes cycle route towards Bleialf and Prüm. Via a small connecting section over the former border crossing Steinebrück and under the motorway bridge, there is direct access to the Ravel cycle path network towards St.Vith or Burg Reuland. The route is, of course, signposted in both directions.
