New bus connection between St. Vith and Gerolstein for cyclists and hikers

Since the end of December 2020, the Verkehrsverbund Region Trier (VRT) has been providing a new, cross-border bus connection between the towns of Gerolstein (D) and St. Vith (B). In the period from 1 April to 1 November, it will also be possible to take up to 5 bicycles on the new line 465.

Thus, this connection creates new possibilities for the combined use of the Vennbahn and the Eifel-Ardennes cycle path. As the bus line ends at Gerolstein station, there is the possibility to change directly from the bus to the train to the Greater Region to Trier and Cologne.

From Monday to Saturday, the bus runs every two hours between Gerolstein and St. Vith, on Sundays every four hours.

Line 465: Gerolstein – St. Vith   

  • Stops in: Gerolstein, Lissingen, Büdesheim, Wallersheim, Prüm, Sellerich, Bleialf, Winterspelt, Steinebrück, St. Vith
  • Frequency: Mon. - Sat. every two hours, Sun. every four hours
  • Other: Vehicle with rear load carrier to transport up to 5 bicycles in the period from 01.04. to 01.11.
