Brussels Christmas tree is a gift from Robertville

The Christmas tree on the Grand-Place in Brussels is a gift from East Belgium this year. The proud, 18-metre-high fir tree was felled today in the garden of the Hotel La Chaumière du Lac in Robertville and transported to the European capital.

It is a gift from Birgit and Didier Condat, who have been running the hotel and restaurant (business partner of the TAO) for 27 years. "Since our first Christmas at the hotel, the tree has been growing on this spot. It became part of our lives. The family then wished us good luck with our new project," Birgit Condat told the newspaper Grenzecho.

Even if the family's farewell was not easy, everyone is happy that this beautiful tree is now warming the hearts of the people of Brussels!
