Drift and hide hunts - Information for hikers and MTBikers

Published on 29.09.2020

The hunting season starts at the end of September. Because of the extensive nature of the area and the signposting by hunters, hikers and cyclists need not fear any major restrictions.

In general, it can be said that on Sundays and public holidays there are few battue hunts. As hide hunting is the most common form of hunting in East Belgium, the local forests are closed on a few days. Ansitz hunts are usually held off the hiking trails.
