A nice MTB tour which runs through the wooded area between Rodt and Recht. There are some nice single tracks awaiting you here, though some of them are quite difficult.

This route goes through the country around Amel and St. Vith and passes through the village of Recht, which was known in past centuries mainly for its bluestone mining. Today, indeed, rough-cast bluestone houses still bear witness to the processing of stones from the slate mine and the craftsmanship of the stone carvers, which was a time-honoured profession in Recht. There are also many bluestone crosses at the wayside. These gentle hills don't call for peak performance, but the landscape is certainly charming and typical of the region.
Author’s recommendation
The second part of this route is considerably more strenuous, so it's good to save some of your strength. Some five kilometres before the end of the tour you can stop off for some refreshment in the beer museum on the Tomberg in Rodt. (N.B.: Find out about the opening times first).
